💰️ Played the lottery recently?

There are over a dozen unclaimed lottery prizes across the state, including one here in Vancouver that was sold at WinCo on 136th. It expires on March 18th, so be sure to check your tickets →

🚉 To light rail or not to light rail

Members of the Clark County transit agency will vote on March 11 (Tuesday) to decide whether or not to change the language in their megaproject for replacing the I-5 bridge between Oregon and Washington and implementing a light rail system. You all have been asking… and unfortunately we still don’t know →

💡 Reinvent downtown Vancouver

Got big ideas for revitalizing downtown? Join the Community Innovation Lab at Our Third Space on March 11th and 12th, where creative minds will tackle the challenge. Whether you’re a designer, dreamer, or just have a lot of opinions, this is your chance to be heard →

Today - March 7th

🎨 It’s First Friday!

All evening: First Friday Art Walk is back, turning the city into a living, breathing art gallery. Wander through exhibits, catch live performances, and soak up creativity in unexpected places. No two months are the same, so there’s always something new to discover →

Stop by Love Potion’s Fairy Land Craft Fair to browse whimsical goods from local artists. If you can’t make it Friday, they’ll be around all day Saturday too.

🍺 A beer movie? Say less.

7:30 pm: Rainier: A Beer Odyssey is rolling into Kiggins Theatre, and this is your official invitation to grab a ticket, kick back, and take a cinematic deep dive into the world of Rainier beer — nostalgia and laughs included →

Tomorrow - March 8th

🗳️ Thinking about running for office? Start here

9 am: If you’ve ever thought, I could do a better job than these politicians, here’s your chance to prove it. You Can Run for Office is a workshop hosted by the League of Women Voters—perfect for anyone curious about what it takes to get on the ballot →

🐶 Adopt your new best friend

11 am - 1:30 pm: Thinking about adopting a dog? Greyhound Pet Adoptions NW is hosting an adoption event at For Pup Sake you’ll be able to meet all the pups and (maybe) leave with a new couch companion →

🥪 Scones and BBQ

11 am - 5 pm: Fisher Scones is rolling into Parkrose Hardware, bringing a perfect mix of fluffy and golden goodness. If you know, you know — if you don’t, there’s only one way to find out →

Later in the evening, head to A Little Vice who will be hosting Flavorsmyth for a special pop up serving a brand-new sandwich and all the BBQ you can handle →

🔥 Gotta catch ‘em all

2 pm - 5 pm: Pokémon trainers, it’s time to shine. Fuecoco Community Day is happening along Officers Row (E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver) where you can compete in catch and size competitions, score free pins and stickers, and win prizes. Bring a canned food donation for an extra raffle ticket to do some good while you play →

🍻 Beer choir… Paddy’s Day style

6 pm: The ‘Couve Chapter Beer Choir is bring Irish vibes to Heathen Brewing Feral Public House this weekend. Expect European pub-style singing, plenty of beer, and a brand-new songbook hot off the press →

Sunday - March 9th

🐝 The buzz on backyards

1 pm: Thinking about adding a few new tenants to your garden this spring? The Introduction to Spring Mason Bees (and Other Pollinators) workshop at the Vancouver Community Library will teach you how these tiny, hardworking pollinators can boost your blooms and backyard bounty →

If your yard could use a glow-up, the Native Plants for Your Landscape class at Clark College (also at 1 pm) will show you how to select and care for native plants and give you a tour of a native garden →

🎭 Step into the spotlight

1 pm: Starbird Theatre is holding auditions for These Shining Lives, a powerful true story about women fighting corporate negligence in the 1920s. If you’ve got the acting chops (or just love a good drama), head to the Vancouver ArtsHub — this is your chance to shine →

🛝 Play time, no cleanup required

1 pm - 4 pm: Need an easy way for the kids to burn off some energy? Playn Indoor Play Space at Fourth Plain Community Commons is open for kids ages 0-12 and their caregivers. This event is completely free and totally fun, plus no couch cushions will be harmed in the process → You can stop by any Sunday in March.

Monday - March 10th

🏃‍♂️ A free play paradise for kids

9:00 am: Need to burn some energy? Fourth Plain Community Commons is hosting a free, open-play space for kids 0-12 and their caregivers. No planning, no stress, just happy, exhausted kids who’ll be more than ready for nap time when they’re done →

📚 The surprising history behind your local library

10:30 am: Did you know women’s social clubs played a huge role in building public libraries? This talk at Cascade Park Community Library will dive into the untold history of how these clubs helped shape Southwest Washington’s literary scene →

Tuesday - March 11th

🐰 Stab something (it’s crafty, don’t worry)

3:00 pm: Needle felting is basically arts and crafts with stress relief built in — sharp needles, stabbing motions, and the reward of an adorable felted bunny at the end. Whether you're making an Easter gift or just need to poke something for a while, The Enchanted Rose Emporium has you covered →
