💰️ Played the lottery recently?
There are over a dozen unclaimed lottery prizes across the state, including one here in Vancouver that was sold at WinCo on 136th. It expires on March 18th, so be sure to check your tickets →
🚉 To light rail or not to light rail
Members of the Clark County transit agency will vote on March 11 (Tuesday) to decide whether or not to change the language in their megaproject for replacing the I-5 bridge between Oregon and Washington and implementing a light rail system. You all have been asking… and unfortunately we still don’t know →

All evening: First Friday Art Walk is back, turning the city into a living, breathing art gallery. Wander through exhibits, catch live performances, and soak up creativity in unexpected places. No two months are the same, so there’s always something new to discover →
Stop by Love Potion’s Fairy Land Craft Fair to browse whimsical goods from local artists. If you can’t make it Friday, they’ll be around all day Saturday too.

7:30 pm: Rainier: A Beer Odyssey is rolling into Kiggins Theatre, and this is your official invitation to grab a ticket, kick back, and take a cinematic deep dive into the world of Rainier beer — nostalgia and laughs included →

2 pm - 5 pm: Pokémon trainers, it’s time to shine. Fuecoco Community Day is happening along Officers Row (E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver) where you can compete in catch and size competitions, score free pins and stickers, and win prizes. Bring a canned food donation for an extra raffle ticket to do some good while you play →

6 pm: The ‘Couve Chapter Beer Choir is bring Irish vibes to Heathen Brewing Feral Public House this weekend. Expect European pub-style singing, plenty of beer, and a brand-new songbook hot off the press →
Sunday - March 9th
🐝 The buzz on backyards
1 pm: Thinking about adding a few new tenants to your garden this spring? The Introduction to Spring Mason Bees (and Other Pollinators) workshop at the Vancouver Community Library will teach you how these tiny, hardworking pollinators can boost your blooms and backyard bounty →
If your yard could use a glow-up, the Native Plants for Your Landscape class at Clark College (also at 1 pm) will show you how to select and care for native plants and give you a tour of a native garden →
🎭 Step into the spotlight
1 pm: Starbird Theatre is holding auditions for These Shining Lives, a powerful true story about women fighting corporate negligence in the 1920s. If you’ve got the acting chops (or just love a good drama), head to the Vancouver ArtsHub — this is your chance to shine →
